Beginners I/II

SUITABLE FOR:
for participants with no prior knowledge or limited prior knowledge, as well as participants who want to refresh or master their existing basic knowledge.
COURSE CONTENT:
Posture; Leading & Following; Basic steps: Basic 1 + 2 + 3, Virgula; Retrocesso, Estrella, Corridinho, Ida e Volta, Tarraxinha; ladies’ Saida and gentlemen’s Saida, simple step combinations and much more.
Intermediate I/II
DAY & TIME:
Sunday: 15:00 - 16:00
INTERMEDIATE I - SUITABLE FOR:
For participants in our beginner courses or newcomers who can confidently dance the material covered in our beginner course.
INTERMEDIATE I - COURSE CONTENT:
Footwork is refined; technique training, the art of walking (walking technique), and body expression are practiced; additional figures and various combinations, as well as Semba variations, are learned; changes of tempo; redirections; first simple falling figures (dips); Tarraxinha movement is further practiced, and much more.
INTERMEDIATE II - SUITABLE FOR:
for participants who have completed Intermediate I or those joining from elsewhere with excellent step confidence and great confidence in leading & following, and at least 1.5 years of dance experience.
INTERMEDIATE II - CONTENT:
footwork confidence is developed further, technique training, the art of walking (walking technique) and body expression are practiced, additional figures and various combinations as well as Saida variations are learned; changes of pace; redirections, first simple dips, Tarraxinha movement is practiced further and much more.
Advanced
DAY & TIME:
Sunday: 14:00 - 15:00
SUITABLE FOR:
Participants in our Intermediate II course or dancers with very confident footwork and extensive experience in leading and following, plus at least 2 years of dance experience
CONTENT:
Further figures and combination options at an advanced level; special emphasis is placed on dance attitude and musical interpretation, footwork and technique training.

In just 6 hours (2 days of 3 hours each), you’ll get an overview of everything this dance has to offer.
SUITABLE FOR:
for dancers with no or little prior experience,
as well as Kizomba dancers who would like to refresh their basic knowledge or gain more confidence in their steps. The crash course is also suitable for dancers who would like to switch roles in the dance.
YOU WILL LEARN:
the basics covered in our beginner courses, which you need to feel confident at your first Kizomba parties. You’ll also learn interesting facts about the dance, the music and much more.
For those interested in Kizomba who prefer to learn at a slower pace, we recommend our ongoing courses.
After the crash course, you can immediately join our ongoing courses.

Learn the language of leading & following with DiaoDance!
Stepping into the other role helps you master your own role even better and improve and expand your dancing skills. It changes your perspective and helps you understand what matters from the other point of view.
Partner dancing is communication between two dancers. To have a genuine dialogue, you need to understand the other person's language. In dance, this language is called “leading and following”.
"Leading" means showing the way through impulses and body language. "Following" means receiving these impulses and responding to them correctly with your own body. Both partners are constantly interacting and responding to each other.
SUITABLE FOR:
Level 1:
Open to any follower who already knows the basics as a follower.
Level 2:
Participation is open to any Follower who can already dance the Kizomba basics confidently in both roles, as Follower and Leader.
